Authorities said deputies were unable to locate Weston that evening, but on Saturday afternoon, an alert sheriff’s deputy spotted him driving near Route 60 and Saunders Road in Lake Forest. Weston was taken into custody during a traffic stop and booked for allegedly battering the victim the previous day.
The Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office approved charges of aggravated domestic battery involving strangulation (Class 2 Felony) and two counts of domestic battery (Class A Misdemeanors). The Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office said Weston remains held at the Lake County Jail pending his next court appearance on July 31, 2025.
