
Lake Charles, LA – Residents across Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana can look forward to a stretch of clear, pleasant weather heading into the weekend, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Lake Charles.
With a cold front moving out of the region, forecasters say highs will stay in the mid-to-upper 80s through Monday, while overnight lows dip into the 60s. Rain chances remain near zero until at least the middle of next week.
According to NWS Lake Charles, skies will remain mostly sunny, with humidity near 50 percent. Friday and Saturday nights are expected to be cooler, with temperatures ranging from the low 60s to mid-60s.
For high school football fans, Thursday and Friday games will see near-perfect conditions. Thursday’s kickoff temperatures will be around 79–81°F, with a slight 20 percent chance of rain. By Friday, skies will be completely dry, with kickoff temps closer to 76–79°F and calm winds.
Marine forecasts also look favorable, with light winds and seas generally between two and three feet, though boaters should exercise caution Saturday when rain chances increase to 50 percent.
While the National Hurricane Center is tracking activity in the Atlantic, NWS Lake Charles confirmed there are currently no tropical threats in the Gulf of Mexico for the next seven days.
