La Porte County Burglary: Two Brothers Arrested After Social Media Tips

La Porte, IN – Two brothers were recently arrested in connection with an alleged burglary that occurred on July 17th in the 6200 north block of Fail Road, according to the La Porte County Sheriff’s Office. The investigation, which began after the alleged burglary, involved the Sheriff’s Office seeking public assistance on July 25th to identify the suspects involved.

Thanks to tips provided by community members through social media, the suspects were identified as Jacob and Daniel Sutton. Arrest warrants were subsequently issued for both brothers for the alleged offense. On August 8th, Daniel Sutton was located and apprehended by the Portage Police Department in Indiana. He is currently being held in the Porter County Jail.

Jacob Sutton was arrested the following day in Weatherstone Village. He allegedly attempted to evade arrest by fleeing through the rear window of a residence but was swiftly apprehended by Sergeant Adam Hannon, who restrained and took him into custody. Jacob is now housed in the La Porte County Jail.
