LA CROSSE, Wis. – Showers will continue overnight across La Crosse County before a stretch of dry, sunny days sets in through midweek. Temperatures are expected to hold near 56°F overnight, with northwest winds around 8 mph bringing cooler, stable air into the region.
According to the National Weather Service in La Crosse, light rain will taper off by dawn Monday, with skies gradually clearing through the day. Scattered morning showers could linger in parts of Vernon and Monroe counties, but most areas will see sunshine by Tuesday with highs climbing to the upper 60s.
Calm winds and mostly clear skies are forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday, allowing daytime highs to rise into the mid-60s to low 70s. Residents can expect ideal conditions for fall harvest work and outdoor travel, with no major hazards expected until late in the week.
By Thursday, another weak system could bring isolated rain chances to western Wisconsin, but forecasters say the majority of the state will remain dry and mild through Friday.
