La Crosse, Wisconsin – Today is Sunday, and unseasonably warm temperatures will continue through Tuesday.

According to the US National Weather Service in La Crosse, daytime highs will reach the mid to upper 50s across much of the region through Tuesday. Areas north of Interstate 94 are expected to remain cooler, with highs mainly in the 40s.

Monday is forecast to be the warmest day. Temperatures could reach 60 degrees south of Interstate 90, including communities near La Crosse, Sparta and areas of northeast Iowa. The warm stretch may draw increased outdoor activity along the Interstate 90 corridor.

More active weather returns Tuesday evening. Forecasters say rain is expected to move into the region, with a chance for some snow north of Interstate 94. The precipitation timing could affect late-day commuters on both I-90 and I-94.

Rain may continue into Wednesday, with some snow mixing in across northern portions of western Wisconsin. Another weather system is possible toward the end of the week, with a 20% to 40% chance of additional rain or snow.

Students and early-week commuters may notice mild morning conditions before changes arrive Tuesday evening.

Residents are encouraged to monitor updated forecasts as midweek precipitation timing becomes clearer.
