La Crosse, Wisconsin – Mild temperatures in the 50s and 60s will keep conditions comfortable through Thursday, but a sharp cooldown will arrive by Friday, bringing a noticeable return to early spring chill.

According to the National Weather Service in La Crosse, highs will range from 50°F to near 68°F through midweek across western Wisconsin, including La Crosse, Sparta, and Prairie du Chien. Dry weather will dominate most days, making for smooth travel along major routes like I-90 and Highway 61.

Thursday brings the only notable change, with a slight 15% to 25% chance of light rain showers during the day. While rainfall will be minimal, brief wet roads are possible during passing showers.

The bigger shift arrives Friday as temperatures drop into the upper 30s to mid-40s for daytime highs, with overnight lows dipping into the teens and 20s. This marks a temperature swing of nearly 20 to 30 degrees compared to earlier in the week.

By Saturday, conditions turn dry again with highs rebounding slightly into the mid-40s to mid-50s under partly sunny skies.

Residents should prepare for cooler air by the end of the week and take advantage of the mild stretch through Thursday. Additional updates may follow if rain chances increase.
