A fatal single-vehicle crash in Knox County, Illinois, claimed the life of one person on Sunday, April 6, 2025. The accident occurred at 5:12 p.m. on Illinois Route 167 near Knox Road 1650 E, west of Victoria.
The driver of a tan 2017 Chevrolet hatchback was traveling eastbound when they veered off the road, crossing into the north ditch and striking a fixed object. The impact triggered the vehicle’s airbag deployment, but the driver was found deceased at the scene.
According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, the authorities responded promptly, with the Knox County Coroner, GHAS, and Victoria Fire on-site. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The accident remains under investigation by local law enforcement.
