Louisville, Ky. – Kentucky residents can expect a sunny stretch heading into the weekend, with temperatures climbing into the 70s by Saturday afternoon and continuing to warm through Sunday. Morning clouds will give way to clear skies across much of the state, setting the stage for a pleasant, dry weekend.

According to the National Weather Service in Louisville, highs today will range from the mid-60s in Madison and Pikeville to 72°F in Bowling Green. Skies will gradually clear by late afternoon, and tonight’s lows will dip into the upper 40s, especially in northern and eastern counties.

In central Kentucky, cities like Lexington, Danville, and Frankfort will see afternoon sunshine and temperatures in the upper 60s. Louisville is expected to top out at 70°F under mostly sunny skies. Farther west, Hartford and Jasper will hit the upper 60s and low 70s.

Saturday brings similar conditions with highs in the low 70s under a mix of sun and clouds. Sunday will feel even warmer, with highs nearing 80°F in southern areas and continued dry weather.

No severe weather is expected through the weekend, but cooler overnight lows in the 40s mean early risers should dress in layers. A new round of showers could arrive next week, but for now, clear skies and mild days dominate the forecast.
