Paducah, KY – Residents in western Kentucky should enjoy warmer weather today, but a cold front is expected to bring cooler temperatures and a slight chance of rain by the end of the week. The National Weather Service (NWS) forecasts highs near 83°F on Wednesday, with a steady drop in temperatures starting Thursday, and potential showers late Friday along US-60.

According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, a slight chance of showers will develop Friday evening due to the cold front moving through the region. The front is expected to shift temperatures dramatically by the weekend, with highs on Friday reaching around 72°F before cooling down to the mid-60s on Saturday. Showers are projected at around 20% probability on Friday, primarily before 10 a.m. Drivers along US-60 and I-24 should stay alert for potential slick conditions early that day.

Starting today, temperatures will peak at 83°F with clear skies, dropping to a low of 48°F tonight. Thursday’s weather will be sunny, with a high of 76°F, followed by calm winds. Friday will bring increasing cloud cover and the 20% chance of rain, though most of the day should stay dry. By Saturday, the area will see highs near 72°F, followed by cooler temperatures in the mid-40s overnight.
