Louisville, KY – Light snow and flurries are expected late tonight into early Thursday morning across southern Indiana and northern Kentucky, according to the National Weather Service in Louisville. A light dusting of accumulation is possible, mainly north of the I-64 corridor.

Overnight lows will dip into the mid-20s, with cold conditions continuing into Thursday as highs struggle to reach the upper 30s. Forecasters note that slick spots could develop on bridges and untreated roads during the Thursday morning commute, particularly in areas that see brief bursts of snow.

The chance for light precipitation returns Friday, when a mix of rain and snow may develop across southern and eastern Kentucky before drier, partly cloudy conditions arrive for the weekend.

Residents are encouraged to drive cautiously overnight and early Thursday, allowing extra time for travel in case of icy patches.
