Jackson, KY — Eastern Kentucky residents will see dense morning fog throughout the week, followed by sunny conditions. A weak cold front moving in on Thursday will bring a drop in temperatures, but high pressure will return by Friday, causing a slight warm-up to end the week.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Jackson, patchy, dense fog will linger each morning, particularly before 10 a.m., reducing visibility across the region. Drivers are advised to use caution, especially along highways and rural roads. Tuesday and Wednesday will bring sunny skies, with temperatures ranging between 75 to 80°F during the day and lows dipping to the 40s at night.

The cold front arriving Thursday will drop daytime highs to the mid-60s and overnight lows to the low 40s. This shift in weather marks a temporary cool-down as high pressure quickly rebuilds by Friday, bringing temperatures back up to the mid-70s.

Looking ahead, mild and dry conditions are expected to continue into the weekend, with a slight chance of showers by Saturday night. Residents should stay updated with the latest weather alerts, especially if traveling early in the day when fog is heaviest.
