PADUCAH, Ky. — Warm air will surge across western Kentucky Friday, delivering one of the mildest stretches of November so far — but changes loom close behind. Sunshine and calm winds will make Friday feel almost springlike before a new system edges in with light rain and a fresh November chill.

According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, Friday’s high will reach around 75°F, nearly 15 degrees above normal for mid-November. A light south wind will strengthen slightly through the day, signaling the next frontal push that could bring spotty showers to the region by Saturday evening.

Saturday begins mostly sunny with another warm high near 76°F before clouds increase late. A weak cold front slides in from the west Saturday night, producing a 20% chance of rain along the I-24 corridor and bringing gusts near 25 mph. Any rain will remain light, but damp roads could slow early travel or outdoor plans.

By Sunday, northwest breezes and cooler air return, dropping highs back into the mid-60s under mostly sunny skies. Nights will turn crisp again, dipping into the low 40s by Sunday night.

Looking into early next week, another system brings a better chance of showers Monday into Tuesday, along with a more noticeable cooldown. Highs may settle in the upper 50s by midweek — a sure sign that late-fall weather is reclaiming Kentucky after its brief warm reprieve.
