Kentucky Weather: Dangerous Heat Wave Expected Next Week, Temps Climb Over 100 Degrees

Paducah, KY – An intense heatwave is set to grip Kentucky and the Quad State region this weekend, bringing potentially dangerous temperatures. The National Weather Service has forecast temperatures soaring into the 90s and even reaching 100 degrees. The heatwave is expected to peak on Monday, with heat index values climbing as high as 105 degrees.

According to the US National Weather Service, the hot conditions will begin Saturday with highs around 94 degrees. By Sunday, temperatures are expected to rise slightly, with highs near 95 degrees. Monday through Wednesday will be the most critical period, with temperatures expected to exceed 100 degrees, accompanied by a high humidity that will push the heat index to between 105 and 106 degrees.
