Louisville, KY – A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. EST Monday for portions of southern Indiana and central Kentucky, according to the National Weather Service in Louisville.
Forecasters say light snow will develop through the morning and persist into the afternoon, leading to minor snow accumulations and slippery road conditions during the day. While totals are expected to remain on the lighter side, even a dusting could cause slick spots on bridges and untreated roads.
The advisory includes Louisville, Elizabethtown, Bardstown, Danville, and Campbellsville, as well as nearby areas in southern Indiana such as Jeffersonville and Madison. Drivers are urged to slow down and allow extra travel time, particularly during the morning and evening commutes.
Snow showers are expected to taper off by tonight, followed by colder temperatures overnight into Tuesday morning.
