Paducah, KY – The number of confirmed tornadoes in Kentucky from the April 2nd storms has now reached 21, according to the National Weather Service. One of the significant tornadoes formed 5.6 miles southwest of New Haven, causing widespread damage as it moved northeast.
The tornado caused shingle and siding damage to homes and severely damaged a large barn. As the twister continued, it uprooted or snapped trees and also damaged solar panels along Highway 141 just east of New Haven. The storm path crossed the Little Wabash River into White County, causing additional tree damage and overturning an irrigation pivot before lifting near County Road 1450.
