Paducah, KY – Scattered showers and storms are expected across the Quad State region Wednesday night, with the potential for isolated damaging wind gusts, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Paducah.

Forecasters said storms will continue through the evening, mainly impacting western Kentucky, southeast Missouri, southern Illinois, and northwest Tennessee. The primary threat includes gusty winds capable of causing localized damage.

According to the NWS, storm chances will decrease from west to east overnight, leaving behind lingering showers and thunderstorms Thursday in western Kentucky. Highs are forecast in the upper 70s, with storms becoming more isolated by the afternoon.

By Friday, tranquil weather is expected across the region, with mostly sunny skies and temperatures ranging from the upper 70s to low 80s. That trend is forecast to continue into the weekend, offering residents a break from stormy conditions.

The NWS advises residents to remain weather-aware through Wednesday evening as storms move across the area. Those in regions highlighted under the severe outlook should monitor conditions closely and prepare for possible sudden wind gusts.
