Louisville, KY – A cold front is moving into Kentucky on Friday, bringing scattered snow showers and a sharp drop in temperatures. While accumulations are expected to stay under an inch, slick road conditions could affect morning commuters, especially northeast of Paoli, IN, and across the Bluegrass region.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Louisville, Friday’s high will hover between 34 and 38 degrees, with snow showers most likely in the morning. Areas near Etown and Liberty may see light accumulation, primarily on grassy surfaces. Drivers along the I-65 corridor should exercise caution, as visibility may decrease during snow showers.

Extended Five-Day Forecast:

• Thursday: Mostly cloudy with highs near 41 degrees. Calm winds and dry conditions will persist through the evening, with lows around 33.

• Friday: Snow showers are likely before 8 a.m., transitioning to mostly cloudy skies. Highs will reach 37 degrees, with winds from the west at 7–13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

• Saturday: Partly cloudy skies with highs near 37 and lows around 23 degrees. Afternoon sunshine may break through.

• Sunday: Sunny but cold, with highs near 37. Expect clear skies overnight, with lows around 25.

• Monday: Partly sunny with a slight chance of rain or snow. Highs are expected to climb to 46.

Residents are advised to monitor weather updates, especially on Friday morning. If traveling, ensure vehicles are winter-ready and allow extra time for icy conditions.
