Kentucky Weather Alert: Showers and Storms Return to Paducah Region This Sunday

Paducah, KY – Dry weather will hold through tonight, but changes are on the horizon for western Kentucky and surrounding areas as storms are forecast to return by late Sunday. Residents should prepare for increasing rain chances beginning Sunday afternoon and continuing through Tuesday.

According to the US National Weather Service in Paducah, scattered showers and isolated storms are expected to develop Sunday afternoon, moving northward from Tennessee and Arkansas. Rain chances will peak Monday morning, with some areas, including Paducah and Evansville, seeing up to a 75% chance of precipitation. Temperatures will remain mild tonight, with lows around 54 degrees in Paducah and 55 degrees in Murray.

Highs on Sunday will range between 75 and 80 degrees with east to northeast winds at 5 to 10 mph. The weather pattern will shift further as the week progresses, with temperatures rising into the 80s by Wednesday. The forecast also calls for increased humidity and more potential storms by the end of the week.

Motorists and outdoor enthusiasts should remain weather-aware, particularly Monday morning when the highest chances for rain and storms are expected.
