Kentucky residents should prepare for scattered rain showers and breezy conditions on Friday, March 7, before a shift to drier weather this weekend. Parts of the state, including Jackson and Paducah, will see gusty winds, cloud cover, and potential rainfall before clearer skies arrive by Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service, Jackson, KY, could see light rain late Friday, with a 70% chance of precipitation before midnight. Winds will shift from the southwest to the north at 8-11 mph, making for a cooler evening. Meanwhile, Paducah will experience partly sunny conditions Friday with highs near 61°F before scattered showers move in. Winds could gust up to 26 mph in some areas.

By Saturday, most of Kentucky will see improving conditions. Paducah will reach a high of 53°F under partly sunny skies, while Jackson will see a high of 51°F. Winds will lighten, and overnight temperatures will hover around freezing.

Sunday brings even better news, with clear skies and highs nearing the upper 50s to low 60s. Looking ahead, next week starts on a warm note, with temperatures in the upper 60s and low 70s.

Drivers should remain cautious Friday evening due to possible wet roads, but overall, Kentucky’s weather is trending toward a pleasant weekend.
