Ripley County, KY – An EF1 tornado recently touched down in Ripley County, causing significant damage to homes and trees. The tornado’s path began where Ripley County Highway K-6 dead-ends, continuing northeast across Highway K between K-6 and K-7. The storm left considerable tree damage in its wake, and several homes, including one with significant roof damage, were affected. A few outbuildings were either moved or damaged, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) Paducah.

The full extent of the damage remains unclear, especially further along the tornado’s northeast path, as some areas are difficult to survey due to poor road infrastructure. At least 19 tornadoes have been confirmed from the April 2nd event, with more tracks still being investigated in the coming days.
