According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, thunderstorms are expected between 4 and 7 p.m. CDT on Tuesday, June 3rd. South winds will pick up throughout the afternoon with gusts reaching 20 mph before the first cells arrive. Tuesday’s high will hit a steamy 88°F, intensifying the chance of pop-up showers after 4 p.m., especially in McCracken, Ballard, and Graves counties.
Motorists along I-24 and US-60 should anticipate slick roads and visibility drops during isolated downpours. While the chance of rain is moderate at 40%, even scattered storms can create hazardous driving conditions. If thunder roars, move indoors — lightning will be possible with the strongest cells.
