Louisville, KY – Rain and thunderstorms are set to move into Louisville on Tuesday night, bringing gusty winds and possible downpours. The wet weather will be followed by cooler temperatures and a slight chance of snow late Wednesday night.

According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday will start mostly cloudy, with highs reaching near 64°F. A 30% chance of showers is expected by the afternoon. Winds will increase from the southwest at 15 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 38 mph. By Tuesday night, rain showers and possibly a thunderstorm are likely, especially between midnight and 4 a.m. New rainfall amounts could range from a quarter to half an inch.

Wednesday will remain wet, with showers expected throughout the day. Winds will stay breezy, with gusts up to 39 mph. The high will be around 56°F. By Wednesday night, rain may mix with snow after 10 p.m. before tapering off early Thursday morning.

Looking ahead, Thursday will bring mostly sunny skies with a high of 47°F. Nighttime temperatures will drop to 34°F. Friday will see partly sunny skies and a high of 57°F, with another round of showers possible Friday night into Saturday.
