Paducah, KY – The National Weather Service in Paducah says a rainy and cooler pattern will take hold across western Kentucky, southern Illinois, and southeast Missouri beginning Sunday and lasting through Wednesday.
After a seasonable Saturday, forecasters expect rain chances to rise sharply Sunday morning, reaching 70–85% across much of the region, including Paducah, Evansville, Cape Girardeau, and Hopkinsville. Total rainfall through midweek is projected between 1 and 2 inches, with locally higher amounts possible in far southern areas near Poplar Bluff and Murray.
Temperatures will turn noticeably cooler, with daytime highs in the low to mid-60s early in the week, dipping into the 50s by Tuesday and Wednesday — roughly 5 to 10 degrees below seasonal averages.
While no severe weather is expected, the NWS says residents can anticipate periods of light to moderate rain, breezy conditions, and a cool, unsettled stretch through midweek before a gradual drying trend returns later in the week.
