Louisville, Kentucky – Scattered showers and a chance of isolated thunderstorms will spread across Kentucky this weekend, bringing periods of rain from late Saturday through Monday. Residents across Louisville and southern counties should prepare for damp roads and reduced visibility during afternoon and evening hours.

According to the National Weather Service in Louisville, clouds will increase Saturday with rain developing late in southern Kentucky. Showers will become more widespread Sunday, with isolated storms possible during the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will hover in the upper 60s to low 70s, with highs ranging from 67°F to 73°F through Monday.

Communities like Bowling Green and Elizabethtown could see heavier bursts of rain Sunday, while Lexington may experience prolonged cloud cover and occasional drizzle. Roads may be slick at times, especially where isolated downpours occur.

Drivers are encouraged to slow down in wet conditions and check local alerts before heading out. While the rain isn’t expected to be severe, it may disrupt outdoor plans and impact visibility on highways including I-65 and I-64.

Conditions will gradually improve after Monday, with temperatures warming toward seasonal averages by midweek. More updates are expected as the pattern evolves.
