Kentucky, Missouri Brace for Severe Storms, Heatwave Expected Over Weekend

Paducah, KY – Showers and storms are set to prevail throughout the day in Paducah and southeastern Missouri before ending from the west this evening. A strong to severe storm is possible, with gusty winds being the main threat. The US National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a forecast indicating that residents should prepare for adverse weather conditions.

According to the National Weather Service, drier air will briefly arrive on Thursday, bringing a temporary reprieve. Thursday’s highs will range from 85 to 90 degrees with lows between 64 and 70. However, hot and humid weather will return on Friday, with temperatures soaring to 94 degrees and lows remaining between 74 and 79. Scattered storms are also expected to make a comeback over the weekend.

Saturday will see highs between 90 and 95 degrees with scattered showers, while Sunday will bring isolated storms and highs from 82 to 86 degrees. Lows over the weekend will vary between 60 and 75 degrees.
