Louisville, KY – A wet start to March is in store for Kentucky, with showers moving into Louisville on Monday and lingering through midweek. Temperatures will stay mild, but breezy conditions could make it feel cooler as spring approaches.

According to the National Weather Service, rain is expected to begin early Monday, with scattered showers continuing throughout the day. Winds will be out of the south at 10-15 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph. Highs will reach the mid-50s before dipping into the low 40s overnight.

Tuesday will bring cooler temperatures, with highs near 50°F and a 30% chance of lingering showers. By Wednesday, skies will begin to clear, though temperatures will remain in the low 50s.

Looking ahead, Thursday and Friday are expected to stay dry, with temperatures gradually rising into the upper 50s. However, another system may bring additional rain by the weekend.

Drivers should prepare for wet roads Monday morning, especially along I-64 and I-65, where reduced visibility and slick conditions could slow commutes. Keep an umbrella handy and plan for cooler mornings as Kentucky transitions into spring.
