Frankfort, KY – Authorities are actively searching for two inmates who escaped from the Blackburn Correctional Complex in Kentucky on Saturday night.
According to the Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 12, Michael Reynolds, 32, of Russellville, and Jonathon Mullins, 30, of London, were confirmed missing around 8:50 p.m. Surveillance footage reportedly captured both men exiting the facility. Officials have since released images and physical descriptions to assist in locating the fugitives.
Reynolds is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 175 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. He was incarcerated on charges of first-degree robbery and wanton endangerment.
Mullins is listed as 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 143 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was serving time for criminal possession of a forged instrument and theft by deception.
KSP is urging anyone with information to contact Post 12 at 502-227-2221 or report to their local law enforcement agency. Authorities have not disclosed how the escape occurred or whether the inmates had outside assistance.
Photos of both individuals were shared in a public alert in hopes that residents will help identify their whereabouts. Officials warn not to approach the escapees if spotted.
Kentucky State Police continue to investigate the incident and have increased patrols in surrounding areas.
