Kentucky, Indiana Counties on Alert for Severe Thunderstorms Until 7 PM

Louisville, KY – A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for parts of northern and northeastern Kentucky until 7 p.m. today.

According to the US National Weather Service Wilmington, OH, the watch encompasses major cities including Louisville, Lexington, and Elizabethtown. Several counties in southern Indiana, such as Clark, Floyd, and Harrison, are also under the watch. The advisory warns of potential tornadoes, isolated hail up to quarter size, and scattered wind gusts reaching up to 70 mph.
