Louisville, KY – A heat wave will grip Louisville as temperatures climb into the 90s this weekend, peaking early next week. Highs on Monday are expected to reach 94 degrees, continuing the city’s stretch of hot, dry weather.
According to the National Weather Service in Louisville, the region will see sunny skies through the weekend, with no rain anticipated until at least next week. Saturday’s high will range from 88 to 93 degrees, and Sunday’s temperatures will reach between 90 and 94 degrees.
Overnight lows will remain in the mid to upper 60s, offering little relief from the daytime heat. The hot and dry pattern will persist into Monday, with highs soaring to between 92 and 96 degrees.
The heat continues to build as the week progresses, with Tuesday’s temperatures expected to hit 97 degrees. Relief from the heat isn’t expected until later in the week, when a slight cooling trend brings highs back to the mid-80s by next weekend. Residents are advised to stay hydrated and limit outdoor activities during peak heat hours.
