The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Warning through 7 p.m. Thursday, with similar conditions expected to return as we head into the weekend.

According to the NWS in Paducah, Friday’s high will hit 95°F, with heat index values reaching as high as 105° by late afternoon. Winds will stay calm early before shifting south, offering little relief. While no storms are forecast for Friday, isolated thunderstorms with heavy rain and lightning may develop by Saturday afternoon, especially after 1 p.m.
