Carrollton, KY – Several northern Kentucky counties remain under a Flood Warning due to ongoing flooding caused by excessive rainfall. The National Weather Service issued the warning for Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Owen, and Pendleton counties until 10:45 AM EDT Saturday.
According to local authorities, flooding continues to affect the region as streams and low-water crossings swell from the excess runoff. Locations including Carrollton, Williamstown, Falmouth, and Crittenden are seeing significant impacts, with roads inundated by standing water. Low-water crossings may be impassable, and slow-moving water could pose a danger to motorists and pedestrians.
The National Weather Service urges residents to avoid driving through flooded areas, emphasizing the dangers of “turning around, don’t drown.” This warning is particularly important at night when visibility of flooding hazards is limited.
