Kenosha County, WI – A months-long investigation into online child exploitation led to an arrest this week in Kenosha County, following a cyber tip to the sheriff’s office about disturbing material shared on the social media app Kik.

According to the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office, the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit began investigating after receiving the tip in September 2024. Detectives say the suspect, a 33-year-old Wheatland Township man, allegedly distributed multiple illicit videos — including one involving a child — through the Kik platform.

By November 2025, investigators had gathered sufficient evidence to establish probable cause for the suspect’s arrest. Deputies took him into custody without incident around 6 a.m. on November 19 after a traffic stop in the 30800 block of 52nd Street. Detectives later searched his residence and seized electronic devices for forensic review.

The suspect faces several felony counts related to distributing and possessing illegal material, along with drug-related charges. He appeared in court November 20, where a cash bond was set at $100,000.

Sheriff David Zoerner emphasized the department’s focus on protecting children, urging parents to monitor their kids’ online activity and remain alert for suspicious behavior.
