Augusta, ME – The Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office has announced it will again serve as a collection site for the annual Toys for Tots holiday campaign, helping provide gifts to local children and families in need this season.

In a post shared Wednesday morning, the Sheriff’s Office confirmed that its headquarters will accept new, unwrapped toys, books, and games for all age groups through Sunday, December 15.

The national Toys for Tots program, operated by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, partners with local organizations to ensure every child experiences the joy of the holidays. The Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office has participated in the initiative for multiple years, serving as a convenient community drop-off point.

Residents wishing to contribute can deliver donations directly to the Sheriff’s Office in Kennebec County, Maine during regular business hours. All gifts must be new and unopened.

The department encouraged early participation to help local coordinators meet growing community needs before distribution week.
