Deputies were notified around 12:25 p.m. by the Chicago Police Department after a 14-year-old girl arrived at a Chicago-area hospital with a gunshot wound to her leg. Authorities said she was struck earlier that morning at a residence on Palomino Lane and was later treated and released.
During the investigation, deputies obtained a search warrant for the residence. While executing the warrant, authorities located a deceased male inside the home.
