Oswego, IL – Two men were arrested in Oswego Monday morning after police allegedly found two illegally possessed handguns during a noise complaint call, according to the Oswego Police Department.

Officers responded to the 500 block of Chestnut Drive around 9:47 a.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025, after receiving reports of a vehicle parked in the roadway with loud music playing. Upon arrival, officers found two men inside the vehicle.

According to police, the responding officer’s alertness led to the discovery of a handgun near one of the men. A second handgun was later located. Neither individual reportedly possessed a valid concealed carry license or Firearm Owner’s Identification (FOID) card.

Authorities identified the suspects as Tytis D. Givan, 19, of Oswego, and Tyrell I. Mays, 18, of Montgomery. Both were charged with five felony counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, Kendall County officials said.

The men were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Oswego Police Department before being booked into the Kendall County Jail to await a pre-trial hearing.

Police emphasized their appreciation for community members who reported the suspicious vehicle, saying quick citizen action helped prevent potential danger.

Any charges are accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
