Yorkville, IL – The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the U.S. Marshals Service, recently completed “Operation Trick or Treat 2.” The initiative aims to enhance community safety during Halloween by monitoring registered sex offenders for compliance with legal requirements.

Officers conducted 31 compliance checks across Kendall County, making contact with 25 offenders. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the operation identified three individuals who may have violated the Sex Offender Registration Act or the Violent Offender Against Youth Registration Act. These cases remain under investigation.

Additionally, four sex offenders were arrested on outstanding warrants for failing to register as required by law.

Kendall County’s partnership with the U.S. Marshals Service underscores the importance of multi-agency cooperation to protect local communities. Officials stressed that ongoing compliance checks help ensure offenders adhere to legal restrictions, particularly during vulnerable times like Halloween.
