Wichita, KS – Kansas residents can expect rain showers throughout today, primarily impacting south-central and southeast regions. Though most areas will receive less than a quarter-inch of rain, some areas in southeast Kansas may see up to an inch of additional rainfall. The showers are expected to ease by early Sunday, with a shift to warmer conditions through next week.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will continue to drop tonight, and while a few snowflakes may mix into the rain, little to no snow accumulation is expected. Rain chances today vary, with cities like Wichita and Winfield facing an 80% chance of rain, while areas like Topeka and Salina have much lower chances of rainfall.

As for the upcoming week, the rain will taper off early Sunday, and by Monday, a gradual warm-up will begin. High temperatures will rise from the low 60s on Monday to the upper 70s by Thursday. Residents are encouraged to stay aware of any localized flooding or slick roads as they drive through the continuing rain.
