WICHITA, Kan. – The National Weather Service in Wichita is warning of areas of dense fog early Tuesday across portions of central and south-central Kansas, including Hutchinson, El Dorado, and Wellington. Visibility may drop below a quarter mile in some locations before gradually improving by mid-morning.
After the fog lifts, skies will clear with temperatures rising to near 79°F, marking the beginning of a mild and dry stretch through midweek. Sunshine will dominate Wednesday and Thursday, with highs in the low 80s and light winds out of the south.
By Friday, a weak cold front will introduce a chance of scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms, though severe weather is not expected. The weekend looks seasonably warm, with highs in the mid-70s and cooler nights dipping into the 40s and 50s.
