Topeka, KS – Kansas residents should prepare for a mix of weather conditions this weekend, with highs reaching the upper 80s to mid-90s and the return of showers and storms. The National Weather Service in Topeka reported that today will be mostly sunny, with temperatures climbing between 86°F and 94°F. However, late tonight, showers and storms are expected to develop and move across the region into Sunday morning.
According to the National Weather Service, Sunday will start with a chance of storms, with temperatures ranging from 63°F to 69°F in the morning and highs near 84°F to 90°F by the afternoon. There’s also potential for a few isolated showers and storms to redevelop later in the day as an upper-level disturbance moves through the area.
The best chance for storms will be late Sunday night into Monday morning, bringing early showers to start the week. Monday’s forecast shows morning lows between 62°F and 67°F, with daytime highs around 81°F to 88°F.
By Tuesday, conditions are expected to clear, with partly cloudy skies and temperatures ranging from 60°F to 89°F. A slight cooling trend is anticipated into early next week, but the heat may return by the end of the week.
