Wichita, KS – Kansas residents can expect a mix of weather conditions over the next few days, starting with mild temperatures today and potential severe storms tonight.

According to the National Weather Service in Wichita, today’s high temperatures will reach the upper 80s to around 90 degrees across much of the state. Locations such as Salina and Hutchinson will see highs of 91 degrees, while Wichita is forecasted to hit 90 degrees. Tonight, there is a possibility of severe thunderstorms, particularly in areas like Russell, which could experience scattered severe weather late in the day.

Sunday brings a significant change with heavy rain forecasted, mainly affecting southern Kansas. Highs will range from 80 to 87 degrees. According to the National Weather Service, the heavy rainfall could lead to localized flooding, so residents are advised to stay alert and prepare accordingly.

Monday’s weather will feature scattered early thunderstorms with temperatures slightly cooler, ranging from 82 to 86 degrees. The scattered thunderstorms are expected to clear by the afternoon, giving way to partly cloudy skies.

By Tuesday, the weather is anticipated to improve, with mostly sunny skies and highs between 85 and 90 degrees. The rest of the week will see continued sunny and mild conditions, with temperatures steadily climbing from the mid-80s on Wednesday to upper 80s by Thursday.
