Dodge City, KS – Kansas is set for a slight reprieve from the intense heat experienced over the weekend, with temperatures expected to cool down slightly this week. Winds will blow from the east at 10 to 15 mph in the afternoons, providing some relief from the heat. According to the National Weather Service in Dodge City, temperatures will peak at 91°F today, with a chance for widely scattered thunderstorms tonight into Tuesday morning.

As the week progresses, Tuesday’s high is predicted to hover around 90°F, with conditions gradually warming to 97°F by Thursday. A spike in temperatures is expected by Friday, reaching a sweltering 100°F before slightly cooling to 98°F on Saturday.

Meanwhile, in Wichita, the National Weather Service anticipates a high of 95°F today. Scattered thunderstorms in the morning will transition to milder temperatures by midweek. Temperatures are expected to drop to 87°F on Monday and Tuesday, before climbing again to 91°F by Wednesday.
