Wichita, KS – Residents across Kansas should prepare for several rounds of showers and thunderstorms through the first half of the week, with the strongest storms possible late Monday night into early Tuesday.

According to the US National Weather Service Wichita, conditions remain unsettled as a storm system moves through the region. A 30% chance of storms begins late Monday, with forecasters warning of the potential for severe weather, particularly overnight. Rain chances rise sharply to 70% on Tuesday, when widespread thunderstorms are likely to impact travel and outdoor plans.

Highs will remain warm Monday, reaching between 80 and 85 degrees before cooling into the lower to mid-70s Tuesday. Showers and storms are expected to linger into Wednesday, with a 50% chance of rain before diminishing by late afternoon. Temperatures midweek are forecast between 70 and 76 degrees.
