Wichita, KS – Residents in Wichita and surrounding areas should prepare for a bitterly cold weekend, with sub-zero wind chills and light snow expected. The National Weather Service (NWS) warns that wind chills could drop as low as -10°F overnight, posing risks for frostbite and hypothermia.
According to the NWS, Friday night into Saturday morning will bring dangerously cold conditions, with flurries expected along and north of Highway 50. Though snowfall accumulation is expected to be minimal, slick road conditions could make travel hazardous.

• Saturday: Sunny, high near 40°F, with south winds up to 7 mph.
• Saturday Night: Mostly clear, low around 25°F.
• Sunday: Warmer, high near 50°F, with west-southwest winds at 6 mph.

• Tuesday: Sunny and even warmer, with a high of 64°F.
