Wichita, KS – A cold front is moving into south-central Kansas tonight, bringing much cooler temperatures ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, according to the National Weather Service in Wichita.
Overnight lows are forecast to dip into the mid-20s to low 30s, with Wednesday highs only reaching the mid-40s. Thanksgiving Day will stay cool but sunny, with temperatures topping out in the upper 40s to low 50s.
Travel conditions are expected to remain dry and stable through Thursday, ideal for local and regional travelers. However, isolated showers may develop Friday night, signaling a shift toward more unsettled weather heading into the weekend.
Residents are advised to bundle up and plan ahead for early morning freezes, especially when traveling for Thanksgiving.
