Pike County, IL – A Kansas man will serve 25 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for child exploitation crimes. Justin Lee Howard Richards-Olby, 22, pled guilty on Friday to multiple counts of indecent solicitation and child pornography in Pike County Circuit Court.

According to the Pike County Sheriff’s Department, the case began in February when a complaint was filed regarding inappropriate communications between Richards-Olby and a child under 13. Law enforcement traced the online interactions and arrested Richards-Olby in Wellington, Kansas, in March. Chief Deputy Zack Orr, part of the Illinois Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, led the investigation. Authorities executed multiple search warrants, uncovering disturbing messages and explicit content.

Richards-Olby was sentenced to serve consecutive terms for his seven felony charges, along with lifetime sex offender registration.
