Dodge City, KS – Drivers across central Kansas should be prepared for reduced visibility early Sunday morning as patchy fog develops. The National Weather Service in Dodge City forecasts localized fog between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m., with visibility dropping to one mile or less in some areas, particularly along US-50 and nearby routes.

According to the Weather Service, the greatest chances for fog formation are in south-central Kansas, impacting morning commutes and travel. Those on the road should use caution, keep headlights on low beam, and allow extra time for travel. By late morning, the fog is expected to clear, giving way to sunny skies and a high of 53 degrees in Dodge City.

Looking ahead, the week promises mostly sunny conditions and gradually warming temperatures. Monday will bring sunshine and a high of 43 degrees, with light northwest winds at 8-10 mph. The warming trend continues into Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs near 57 and 58 degrees, respectively. Overnight lows will remain chilly, dipping into the mid-20s to low-30s.

Motorists and residents should remain vigilant for fog in the early hours of Monday morning, as similar conditions may briefly return. For updates and road conditions, check with Kansas 511 or local authorities.
