Kansas City, MO – Residents can look forward to mostly sunny skies and milder temperatures on Saturday, but gusty winds could make outdoor plans less ideal. Forecasts predict highs in the upper 30s to low 40s, accompanied by southwest winds ranging from 10 to 15 mph, with gusts reaching up to 30 mph.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), today will bring highs near 41°F as sunshine dominates the skies. Temperatures will drop to the low 20s tonight, with partly cloudy skies. On Saturday, the high is expected to reach 39°F, but a noticeable shift in wind direction to the northwest is anticipated later in the day.

Drivers on major highways like I-70 should remain cautious, especially with gusty conditions potentially impacting visibility and vehicle stability. Winds are forecasted to calm down by Saturday night, with temperatures dipping to 22°F under mostly cloudy skies.

Sunday will bring slightly cooler weather, with highs near 34°F and lighter winds. The workweek kicks off Monday with sunnier skies and warming temperatures, hitting 45°F by the afternoon. A continued warming trend is expected through Tuesday, reaching nearly 50°F, providing an early reprieve from winter’s chill.

Residents are encouraged to secure loose outdoor items and dress in layers to stay comfortable during the fluctuating weather this weekend. Those with weekend travel plans should remain vigilant for shifting winds and potential weather-related road delays.
