KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A stretch of pleasant fall weather is setting up across northwest and central Missouri, with mostly sunny skies and above-normal temperatures through midweek before showers return to the Kansas City area by Friday.

The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill reports no widespread hazardous weather through Thursday, though isolated showers may linger early Tuesday morning. After that, a warm and dry pattern takes hold, with highs climbing into the low to mid-80s by midweek.

Light southerly winds and abundant sunshine will dominate Wednesday and Thursday, making for ideal outdoor weather. By Friday afternoon, a cold front will bring increasing clouds and a 30–60% chance of scattered showers or isolated thunderstorms, followed by cooler air moving in for the weekend.

No severe weather is expected, but travelers and outdoor planners should note that Friday evening could turn breezy and damp across parts of the metro.
