According to the National Weather Service in Kansas City, Monday will be sunny, with a high of 79 degrees before showers and thunderstorms develop after 1 a.m. Monday night. Winds will pick up, with gusts reaching 20 mph. Rainfall amounts are expected to be less than a tenth of an inch, but higher amounts are possible in thunderstorms.

The rain is expected to clear by Tuesday morning, bringing mostly sunny skies and a high near 81 degrees.
