Kansas City, Mo. – Mild late-August weather holds across Missouri, but drivers along the I-29 corridor may see light sprinkles early Tuesday before more widespread showers move in midweek. Highs will stay comfortable, ranging from the mid-70s to low 80s, while morning lows dip into the 50s, with a few northern spots briefly touching the upper 40s.
According to the National Weather Service in Kansas City, rain chances increase Wednesday afternoon, with scattered showers and a few thunderstorms possible through Thursday. Kansas City, St. Joseph, and Chillicothe carry a 30–50% chance of precipitation, with locally higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. Areas farther east, including Kirksville and Moberly, may see less rain.
